What is MAB?
The MAB program is an intergovernmental scientific program that aims to establish a scientific basis for enhancing the relationship between people and their environments. It’s UNESCO’s program aimed to help people regaining their connection with nature, basically.
The event
This event will feature young people between the ages of 18 and 35, from around 100 different countries, representing biosphere reserves around the world.
UNESCO has chosen the Po river Delta as a location and this will certainly give a high relevance to the territory, located between the Veneto Region and Emilia Romagna, which in 2015 obtained the important recognition as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, as well as a source of pride for the entire our country. poi
The initiative was announced for the first time during the 4th World Congress of Biosphere Reserves in Lima, Peru, and was included among the most important UNESCO global events for the year 2017. poi
This event aims to be a great opportunity for discussion and sharing about young people’s vision and commitment to Sustainable Development. poi
